Saturdays are Great!

We're so glad it's getting warmer and spring is here. Duff's been into the biking thing lately. He bought a rode bike that he's been riding all over the valley everyday. Yesterday, he went with some people on a 50 mile mountain bike ride. They started in PG and went up to Draper and back. Of course it was a great day for it. He did forget sun screen though! A scratch from barbed wire that he got when he got tangled up with it as he flew over that handle bars and a few cramps that night, but he had a great time!
I enjoyed working out in the yard, Kace & Kassidy played with friends and walked to Dairy Keen for lunch. I do love the sunshine and Saturdays:)

BRUTIS!!!

Our little Yorkie, Max, has a red rubber bone that he chew, licks, and plays with. Well, he left it outside when he went to do his business. The kids let Addy & Brutis out and Brutis got a hold of it. Kassidy tried to get him to drop it, but there was no way he was letting it go. His teeth scraped her hand in the process of her trying to get it out of his mouth. She comes in screaming that Brutis has Max's bone and won't let it go. So I go out to get it from him. That stupid dog wouldn't drop it. I tried to pry his mouth open, squeeze his jaw, smack him on the head, but to no avail. That stupid dog swallowed the whole thing. The bone is about 5 inches long, and 3 inches high and he swallowed the whole thing! I thought for sure he would die. I kept an eye on him. A couple times I saw him laying down like he was dead, but I'd go out and he'd jump up. I haven't seen any evidence of it in the dog kennel or on the lawn yet. It will be interesting to see if it comes out whole.

Is it warm yet?

I'm really not liking the cold anymore. I'm tired of being cooped up inside. I am ready for the warm weather. I want to be working outside in the yard, planting the garden, mowing the lawn, etc. Just that time of year I guess. Spring Fever. I can't wait for trips to Lake Powell, Camping, biking, hiking, fishing, etc.

Birthday, Blessing & All that fun stuff

Well, I haven't wrote for a while so I thought I'd better update. My dad turned the big "60" on March 1. We had a party for him the night before because his birthday was on a Sunday and we were all going up to Logan for Jack's Blessing. We had soup, cake and just hung out. Then, of course, the boys decided to pull out my dad's old crank phone that shocks people. They all had a great time shocking each other and tormenting the kids to try to shock them. It's always pretty comical to see what they are going to do when they all get together.

Jack's blessing was great! He is such a handsome little guy. Lindsay and Casey then fed us lunch at their house. What a crowd. Steve S. scared Lesa by hiding Kelly on the floor when she was suppose to be napping on the bed. Gave her quite a AHHH moment.

What a fun filled weekend! Having cousins up to have sleepovers is always a hit.
