Camping Trips

The weekend of the 12th, our family went camping with some friends of ours, The Hermansons, up to Current Creek. It was fun we just hung out, biked a little, fished a little and just relaxed.

On the next weekend, The Hermansons and our family, went up to the Uintahs past Vernal to camp and hike a cave. Duff and Kace went there for a Scout trip a month or so before. Brady and Angie came up on Saturday morning and brought the 4-wheelers. It was a beautiful area. The cave was quite an experience. The cave opening was as big as my house, then little caves went off everywhere. We went through a small opening and had to army crawl on melting ice to a little bit bigger part of the tunnel where we could crawl. Then we had to shimmy down a little nylon rope for about 30 feet. The kids were a little worried at first, but for the most part they did really good. After crawling in the cave for a ways it opened up into a big room where you could stand and walk around. Then we crawled out. Kneeling on rocks was probably the worst part for me and a few head bonks. Needless to say we were covered in dirt and mud all up and down the front of us. Kace was the only one that got injured. The kids were trying to break open rocks and one hit Kace in the back of the head. A little blood! Over all we had a great time.

Looks like you have been busy this summer. Keep having fun, but stay out of those scarey caves please.
